Taharoa is cool because it is close to the beach. We can ride motorbikes on the main street, and we ride horses there too. We go swimming at the beach and in the school pool. Down at Te Maika track we go hunting for possums, pigs and geese. School is 2 minutes from home and the beaches aren't that far from school either.
This year some people walked down Mitiwai for our beach clean up, and then we all had a swim and an ice cream with sprinkles.
