Hi tamariki ma. Glad to see you're all enjoying the Blogging experience, and learning to write some amazing stories about Tahaaroa. It's really neat that we can all share our thoughts and experiences with one another in this way. If you have anything new to share with us all about what is happening in your neck of the woods then post a comment to our Surfers. They're always keen to read about what everyone is doing either in town, or in other countries. We may be far from the 'bright lights' of the city of Hamilton, but we're never too far from hearing and sharing with other like-minded tamariki. Drop us a comment.

Taharoa is cool because it is close to the beach. We can ride motorbikes on the main street, and we ride horses there too. We go swimming at the beach and in the school pool. Down at Te Maika track we go hunting for possums, pigs and geese. School is 2 minutes from home and the beaches aren't that far from school either.
This year some people walked down Mitiwai for our beach clean up, and then we all had a swim and an ice cream with sprinkles.

Hello Big T Surfers. It's mean at our school because we get to do things like riding motor-bikes with Peter Glidden, and to go on trips to Auckland, Te Awamutu, Mt Ruapehu, Marlborough Sounds, Wellington, and even Rainbow's End. We enjoy our life here in Tahaaroa. Us Yearr 8's will not like it very much next year when we leave to go to college and high school in Otorohanga and Hamilton because then we won't be able to do the things we used to do after school. Never mind we'll have new friends and places to go and see next year....
Why I like living in Taharoa
It is cool because we get to go pig hunting. We get to go to the beach - Mitiwai, Albatross, Paparoa and Kaiate. We go fishing, geese hunting, horseriding and ride motorbikes. My life in Tahaaroa is choice.
